How is a stretch ceiling installed?
ALYOS® stretched fabrics are installed, worked on and tensioned using the ALYOS® profile fixed to the walls around the ceiling to be treated.
The 10mm-high ALYOS® profile, made of bi-material PVC, can be adapted to any architectural shape. The stretched ceiling covering is inserted into the profile using a curved spatula.
Its system of notched clamps ensures that the coating stays in place. The coating is applied at room temperature.
Finishing is done with a leveller, but can also be done with a cutter (as long as enough material is left to ensure tension and hold the fabric in place). Only a 5 mm finishing edge remains visible.

The initial cost of your project may vary according to its size and complexity. Depending on the finishes and the thermal and acoustic insulation chosen, the cost may increase. What are the disadvantages of stretch ceilings?
The most important thing to bear in mind with stretch ceilings is the quality of the installation. ALYOS® recommends that installation be entrusted to installers trained by our teams (or to professionals who have undergone ALYOS® training). This technical know-how ensures regular tensioning of the fabric and correct installation, essential conditions for preserving the performance of the stretch ceiling: insulation (depending on the configuration), waterproofing, durability and stability over time. ALYOS® offers dedicated training courses for professionals wishing to specialize or upgrade the skills of their teams.
