PRINTED STRETCH CEILING
Why choose a printed stretch ceiling?
Printed stretch ceilings transform the aesthetics of a space while offering technical advantages. It lets you personalize your interior with a unique visual for made-to-measure decoration.

Aesthetics and infinite customization
Printed stretch ceilings give you total creative freedom:
- photos
- graphic motifs
- visual art
Each image becomes a medium of expression, customizable to suit your tastes or visual identity.
Thanks to high-definition printing (up to 5 m wide, seamless), the result is smooth, clean and long-lasting. The canvas masks imperfections in the original ceiling, creating a seamless finish. Depending on the mood you're aiming for, you can energize a space with bright colors, or create a soothing backdrop with natural landscapes.
The print quality and smooth finish bring elegance and character to any environment. And for those who prefer sobriety, a plain version is also available via our colored stretch ceiling range.
Durability, maintenance and longevity
Printed stretch ceilings are also attractive for their robustness and ease of maintenance. ALYOS® fabrics, made from polyurethane-coated polyester mesh, are renowned for their stability and resistance. They last between 15 and 25 years, far longer than conventional paint. Thanks to high-quality inks, visuals retain their brilliance over time, without noticeable fading.
The materials used meet the most stringent standards in terms of safety and indoor air quality:
- Fire classification B-s1,d0
- CE marking
- VOC-free, odorless inks
This makes the ceiling equally suitable for living spaces and public areas.
In terms of maintenance, canvas is washable and naturally repels moisture. A simple dusting with a soft cloth is all it takes to keep it clean, and in the event of a stain, a light damp cleaning will preserve its appearance without altering it. Resistant to condensation, it is also suitable for damp rooms such as kitchens and bathrooms.
Acoustic potential and light
Printed stretch ceilings don't just look good. It can also integrate technical functions, such as acoustics and lighting. ALYOS® offers specific fabrics to combine visual comfort and performance.
- Acoustic comfort: by combining a micro-perforated fabric with an absorbent, the ceiling becomes a true acoustic stretch ceiling. This system effectively reduces reverberation and improves sound comfort(up to α_w = 1.0 - class A).
- Integrated lighting: the canvas can also be backlit. A translucent, printed canvas ensures even distribution of LED light. It becomes both decorative and functional. The intensity is adjustable.
Some configurations combine the two: acoustics and lighting, for a customized ceiling that's both decorative and high-performance. An all-in-one solution that's technical, aesthetic and durable.
How do you choose your printed design?
For optimum results, it's best to adapt the printed motif to the room's function, volume and desired ambience.
Adapt the visual to the room's use
Each environment has its own specific features. Here are a few guidelines to help you make the right choice:
- Professional spaces (offices, meeting rooms): to reinforce your company's visual identity, opt for a discreet yet distinctive design. A vectorized logo, a corporate hue or an elegant geometric pattern can dress up a stretch ceiling while reflecting your brand universe. The visual effect remains sober and professional, while enhancing your image in the eyes of employees and visitors alike.
- Relaxation areas (bedrooms, personal offices, lounges): here, favor soothing atmospheres. A ceiling printed with blue sky, a misty forest or a soft abstract decor promote serenity. These choices are recommended for a cocooning effect. For example, a visual in panoramic format visually enlarges the room and becomes a central decorative element, while remaining subtle.
- Public areas (showrooms, halls, shops): in these high-traffic areas, the aim is to catch the eye and make a lasting impression. A large-format printed stretch ceiling with a product image, artistic photo or immersive decor becomes a communication tool. It captures attention while reinforcing your brand concept. The key is to maintain a certain harmony with the overall layout: the visuals must appeal without saturating the space.
Resolution and material rendering
The quality of a printed stretch ceiling depends largely on the resolution of the image. For a sharp rendering, use a high-definition file. ALYOS® recommends 300 DPI files. This guarantees a sharp print even when looking at the ceiling up close. Depending on the canvas chosen (standard, microperforated or translucent), the rendering may vary slightly. ALYOS adjusts the visual for optimum effect once the light is switched on.
We're with you every step of the way: checking the file, custom simulation (mapping) and validation before printing. The result: a printed ceiling that's faithful to your project, technically mastered and aesthetically accomplished.
Budget and prices for a printed stretch ceiling
Price of printed canvas only
For the supply of the printed canvas (without installation), generally count between €60 and €120 per m². This price per m² covers the custom fabrication of the canvas to the dimensions of your room, as well as the high-definition printing of the visual. The difference depends on the nature of the project: a simple image on a standard canvas of modest dimensions will be at the lower end of the range (~60-80 €/m²). On the other hand, a very complex visual requiring graphic retouching, or printing on a technical canvas, could cost between €100 and €120/m².
Total budget including installation and finishing
If you want a complete supply + installation service, you need to add the cost of professional installation. Installation of a printed stretch ceiling by an approved installer costs an average of €20 to €50 per m² (depending on the complexity of the room, the number of corners, the need to integrate spotlights or ducts, etc.). The overall budget for a turnkey printed stretch ceiling is around €130 to €200 per m² installed.
Steps for creating your printed stretch ceiling
Installing an ALYOS® printed stretch ceiling is quick and easy, and requires no major work:
1. Visual brief and choice of design
You define your wishes with a professional (ALYOS® advisor). The visual can come from your own collection, from an image bank or from ALYOS® creations. The graphics studio draws up a moodboard and helps you choose the fabric (acoustic, backlit, etc.) and finishes.
2. Graphic validation and measurement
The visual is set to the right dimensions (300 DPI recommended). A simulation is sent to you for validation. The installer takes the exact measurements of the ceiling for custom fabrication.
3. Manufacture of printed canvas
High-definition printing is carried out on PVC-free polyester canvas. Each canvas is cut, checked and ready for installation.
4. Installing the stretch ceiling
Installation is quick and clean, with no heating required. The fabric is cold-stretched in discreet profiles fixed to the wall. No odor, no dust.
5. Finishing and quality control
Precise cuts, even tension, well-centered visuals: everything is checked. You validate the result before the part is made immediately functional.

Answers to your questions
What is the print quality and durability?
ALYOS® uses high-definition digital printing (up to 300 DPI) on professional-quality technical canvas. The visual rendering is therefore excellent, equivalent to a large-format photo in terms of sharpness and color. As for durability, the inks used are UV-resistant and the canvas does not fade over time with normal indoor use. Observed longevity is generally 15-20 years with no problems, or even much longer if maintenance is well done.
Can a printed ceiling be cleaned without damaging it?
Yes, that's right. ALYOS® printed stretched fabrics are washable and designed to withstand gentle cleaning. For routine maintenance, simply wipe with a dry cloth or feather duster to remove dust. In the event of staining or soiling, use a slightly damp sponge or microfiber cloth, possibly with a little neutral soap. Gently rub the surface, then wipe dry. Avoid abrasive products or solvents, which could damage the protective coating.
Can the design be changed after installation?
Yes, one of the advantages of stretch ceilings is that they are removable and reversible. If you ever want to change your décor, you won't have to redo the whole thing. All you have to do is contact an installer who will come and unclip the current canvas from its frame and replace it with a new one.
How long does it take to manufacture and install?
Once the visual and the estimate have been validated, the printed canvas is ready in 2 to 4 weeks. This includes file preparation, printing and logistics. Installation is fast: allow 4 to 5 hours for a 25 m² room.
